Judge Savage’s Investiture Draws Standing-Room-Only Crowd of Supporters

Surrounded by family, friends, community leaders, and dignitaries around Arizona, Danalyn Savage was officially invested with her robe and recognized as Yavapai County’s newest Superior Court Judge.

It was a family affair with Savage’s children leading the pledge of allegiance, sharing short speeches, and presenting her with her robe. Judge Savage’s husband, Pastor Scott Savage, led the invocation and shared a speech about her journey to the bench. Held in the third-floor courtroom at the Yavapai County Courthouse in Downtown Prescott, over 200 people gathered to celebrate Judge Savage’s appointment.

Notably, the event included family members from across the country and judiciary members from across the state of Arizona. To conclude the ceremony, Judge Savage delivered a personal speech describing her journey to the bench. Savage cited bullying and physical abuse in school, a lack of support from her own church, and self-doubt about her ability. She shared how the recent discovery of words she wrote in her senior yearbook entry reaffirmed this deep calling to serve the community.

Immediately following the event, attendees spent time with Judge Savage at the Whisky River Tavern at an event sponsored by the Yavapai County Bar Association. Later that evening, Judge Savage and Pastor Savage hosted an evening of food and jazz for friends and family at the American Warehouse in Prescott.
